Update on Frellnick |'<

NOTICE:    If you are easily offended please be advised this post is rated “M” for mature goose themes (last photo).

Separating Frellnick was a good move.  Insomuch as he is definitely healing, yes it is working!  This morning I was able to sequester Polly in the backyard with him; that was also a good move.

Clicking on the first photo in the series will open the images in a slide show.

Frellnick is definitely feeling better, and Polly has accepted him as her mate.    Tonight they will honeymoon in the Goose Chalet, while Georgie and little Dorrit will be making their quarters in the barn.  😉

Yes, I was hoping it would work. Annie, I really didn’t think Polly would accept a new mate. Her’s died two years ago, and I thought they mated for life. I am very happy about this development.

Glad to see everyone relatively healthy and happy. That business about the water vs. anything else gets to be a real issue around here during spring. The mallards go crazy, and I spend more time than you can imagine shooing them off the concrete docks into the water for the sake of the females. Good grief. 😉

I have heard that about ducks and mating season. Geese aren’t so aggressive as the ducks with their females, but the hormone levels can sure make them knuckleheads with each other!

So glad to see Frellnick has recovered from his mud soaking and sore leg.
And what a wonderful way for celebration – loving one’s goosey partner.
    Great capture.

They weren’t partners until I separated them out. Both Frellnick and Polly were picked on by Georgie. I have a decision to make. 😦

It was a total surprise; I must confess! 😉

So how about that? Go on; say something!
