~*~ * ~ * ~ Scene One ~*~ _@V
Rocket: Hey Woody whatch’a doin?
Woody: (sarcastically) What’s it look like, Rocket?
Rocket: Hangin’ upside down, of course! But why?
Woody: I’m hiding from Red!
Rocket: You mean Big Red the Haw…

Notice: No critters were harmed in the making of this photo play. All photos taken here on the Farmlet via my big picture window, hence the graininess and the bad picture quality. 😉
Ok you made me laugh!! awesome! c
Is it hard to make you laugh? 😉
Thanks, Celi!

Glad that story had a happy ending!
LOL! Me too! ~ L
Hi,
Very nice photos, I am amazed at the bird hanging upside down, we don’t have woodpeckers in Australia, so the only thing I know about these birds is mainly from what I have seen on the net, but that photo has blown me away. 😀
LOL! They really are good at clinging to trees and branches when looking for bugs, but this surprised even me! ~ L
Hilarious post!
Thanks, I was trying for that. Glad it’s working! ~ L
It’s good to have a window that looks out on such fine pictures.
You know Tom, that was one of the biggest deciding factors for choosing this house. It was the views from the windows! Our little enclave is truly beautiful. ~ L
Funny!!
Thank you, Candy! 😉
Cute play 🙂 I see I am not the only goofy girl today!
No, there are lots of us, but we generally don’t let on. Hahahaa! ~ L
PS: Loved your funny picture!
Squirrels and woodpeckers! Two species we don’t have here in Australia so very nice to see your images. xx
Thanks! I hope to take many more but perhaps not through the window glass next time. 🙂
Very cute! If my puppy saw this though I think she would have a different reaction 😉
Thanks for visiting, and glad you liked it. What reaction might your puppy have? ~ L
Oops! I’m not so sure about that happy ending!
I used to have a redtail that hung around on the luggage rack of a Ford Explorer in the parking lot, keeping an eye on the birds at my feeder. He had a straight shot at that feeder, and the birds knew it. If I glanced out and didn’t see any birds there, I knew to look around for the hawk. 😉
Linda,
Those hawks gotta eat, I know this, but it is a stunner when you see it happen. I once looked out my back door to see one dining on one of my little silkys. 😦
But, those hawks have their place in the grand scheme, so I just do my best to keep the hens safe. ~ L
That was the perfect bedtime story!! I ought to sleep like a charm tonight!
Lori, I’m not sure how to read that! LOL! ~ L
Love the woodpecker, too. Only thing better is watching the nuthatches walk upside down and sideways in the tree trunks 🙂 Stevie@ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com
Stevie, As I just told Clair, somehow my approval and my response never got through on WordPress, and I only noticed the problem this morning. Sorry!
~ L
Fabulous! and a lovely photo of Woody! I rarely see them, but I do hear them 🙂
Claire, I know I approved these and replied too, but somehow they didn’t come up, and they didn’t show up as still waiting either!!! So sorry, the WP is acting up I guess.
