Hi Lynda, why “Do not touch!”?
Pretty sure this little guy’s just started showing up around here – just started noticing them the past couple of years… Does he have a fine yellow stripe running between his “horns” (or maybe “mine” is not quite the same.)
Deb, yours isn’t quite the same, but close. I ran a Google search and found that there are many different kinds of Tussock moth. We have noticed MANY more of these here than we have seen previously (past 5 yrs). BTW, your posted comments won’t let me reply in my quick tool in the header. I have to go into the Comments Page to respond. Maybe it’s because you are using your phone? Dunno.
So how about that? Go on; say something! Cancel reply

Yeah, uh, nevermind… Guess it’s definitely NOT the same. I had the little fellow running up my finger (it had the long tufts as well, but no sign of any venomous reaction: ) http://www.oxfordcounty.ca/Healthyplaces/Environmentalhealthhazards/HickoryTussockMoth.aspx
