We have a winter bird survey here in Oklahoma that the Wildlife Conservation Department puts on in early January. I love participating. It’s how I learned to identify some of the species I was not familiar with!
I didn’t either, but it was my fault. Today I brought home some suet paddies for the woodpeckers. That should help some too! And NEXT year should be even better! ~ L
Thanks, Lynda!
Anytime Patti! ~ L

I probably should do this too, because I have so many friends who are birders online… but my heart lies with the domesticated variety! 😉 ~ L
Hi,
I agree a great idea. 😀
We had ours a few weeks ago. Because of the mild winter, we had nothing like the number we had last year.

So you do it too? I had never even heard of this until this week. ~ L
I’ve done it for two years now. I think it’s been going for a good few years run by the RSPB.
