Yes, Cindy, I have reached that age where it is a necessity to have a rocking chair on the front porch…
OK, joking aside, thank you for being one of my earliest followers. I still smile to think about you reading my news over breakfast and tea. 🙂

I take it this means you have over 1K followers? I am always confused about the number of followers, in comparison with the number of likes and comments… and then the number of hits in a day (or at least the days after a new blog post). None of it seems very consistent to me. I suppose this might just mean I’m not a statistical person!! Ha ha! Anyway, I’m happy to be one of your people! 🙂

    • Lynda says:

Yes, it’s followers, though how many of them are actual people and not spuds looking for business hits, well, who can say? LOL!

As for you, Lori, you are not one of my “people” you are one of my friends. 😀

I’m up to almost 700 followers and most of them have nothing in common with me and I never hear from them. I think my “actual, real followers who become friends” is well under 50. And they’re the ones who count.

        • Lynda says:

Nancy, I am certain I have many of those. I’ve seen so many followers who are businesses and I think they only do it to drum up clientele. The only one I am certain is not a spud is Annie from Animal Couriers. She always has a kind word to say, and or something to share with me when she visits. I don’t get over to visit much of anyone as much as I should, or would like, because I am just buried in it…

However, I do count you amongst my friends, and enjoy your lovely photography! We met through our dogs and I enjoy your pup stories too!

    • Lynda says:

Thank you, Kate! I’m so glad that we have gotten to know each other. Your creativity in design and your dedication to your craft are what bring me back to visit. You are so inspirational and I learn so much.

If God is for [us], then who (or what) can be against [us]?
We struggle, but but it us makes us stronger. Yes?
So, we just keep plugging away, and who knows? Perhaps by the end of it we shall look like Atlas! 😉

LOL, I hope I don’t offend, but suddenly I had this “jolly” tune in my head. Listening again after all these years I find I had forgotten the line with the language in it. Irreverent, perhaps, satirical (definately!) but still a humorous way in which to view our calamities.

Ah yes – instantly recognisable! As a former Pommie/Brit, how could I possibly be offended by anything the Python team produced? It’s practically mandatory to be able to quote large chunks of it word for word. My favourite line in the movie has always been “Tweat him wuffly, centuwion!”

Doreen, thank you. I have enjoyed your visits and the visits I pay to you too! Your free motion quilting and your bravery to ride one of the big bikes about the country always amazes me. I find you brave on both counts! I could never do either with the skill that you posess!

      • treadlemusic says:

I don’t know about the “bravery” part cuz it’s kinda the “norm” to do such around here! I’m sure there are things/activities that you think nothing of that would cause me to pause!!!! Anyhow, I do appreciate your sweet words and lovely visits! May we have many more!!!!!! Hugs……………….

Jane, thank you! I’m so glad we’ve gotten to meet here. Your world is so exciting to me. I miss my hiking days and you bring me adventures in the wilds of Australia each week. Your adventures are often broad in scope but your photography of the little details along the way is amazing!

      • Jane says:

Thanks, Lynda. You are kind. I’m also very glad to have met you and I love to read about life on the farmlet! They bring back lovely memories for me. You may miss your hiking days but I miss my days on farms. 🙂

    • Lynda says:

Thank you, Annie! It’s been wonderful meeting you and following along with you as well. Though I must say you are more diligent about posting! Your subjects are always so happy to be home!

Hello Lynda! Gosh it’s been so long since I’ve visited and I just took a look at your last few posts.
First, I’m so glad you are feeling better!
That Bobwhite is wonderful … what a whole body movement he makes when he calls.
    AND
Congrats on 1000 followers! I saw your 6 years on WordPress and was even more impressed! Wow!! (I just passed 3 years)
Hello to you and to Bob 🙂

    • Lynda says:

Me too, Laurie. I have been trying to get caught up on projects and seem unable to spend too much time visiting. I’m trying to get a bit more interactive again, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings!

Three years? I think we have been been friends since you started then? It has been so much fun to watch you turn from casual shots to polished photographer and you always have an interesting story to tell! See you tomorrow at your place. 🙂

So how about that? Go on; say something!
