Lynn, they certainly do! They have the distinct advantage of being the “oldest” kitties we’ve owned here on the Farmlet. We keep them in the barn at night now so the Boogens of the dark can’t get them. We have this photo of the boys, Pickle and Peanut, on our television monitor. It is one of our favorites!
Cats do seem to have an affinity for the cardboard box. Why is that? Possible reasons might be that: it’s warm; gives privacy; it’s chewable, but why do they like chewing it? Or maybe, in this instance, they like the smell of whatever was previously packed inside? 😉
How gorgeous they are – they look as if they have a while left in them yet. 😸

I am glad to have read your reply to Lynn. It makes sense of the post.
Tom, the joke was to be found in the date on the side of their favorite winter napping box 😉
Or perhaps the Shrimp Fried Rice was so far past its Best Before that it evolved into a superior life form?
Kate, I don’t know about those shrimp, but kitties are definitely a superior life form! 😀
I did not get it at first, either!
Sorry, I really thought the date on the box would explain it… Guess I needed a few hints, or a bit more backstory?
Love this! But then for some strange reason I love pics of cats in boxes! 🙂
Good evening, Someone.
