Today I went out to do some seed starting on the front porch, and suddenly I was feeling watched.

WAIT A MINUTE, NOT ONLY AM I BEING WATCHED, I‘M BEING BUZZED…

If you click on the picture, and then click again, you will see that the opening is only about 3/4 of an inch and she is about an inch and a half!  Interesting as she is, she is just too close to the front door and I will have to remove the little windchime to another place and hope that she can figure it out.  Brave Lynda, Foolish Lynda… I let you know if it works or not.  😛

After getting phone calls and emails from family and friends I went out into the yard to have a look at the weather.  We were under a storm watch and waiting for high winds (up to a poss. 70 mph), thunderstorms, flooding, and a possible tornado. Well we didn’t get any of it, but we did get this…

Looking towards the Tennessee border

The clouds are very impressive when you consider they are over Fayetteville, TN about 15 miles away.

In our little enclave we had blue sky right above us but ten minutes later we had this.  First the storm was moving in from the south. Then suddenly the winds changed and it began to blow from the north and got cold.

Rain and Shine.  It rained about 15 minutes, very hard, and then suddenly stopped.  We are constantly surprised by our weather here.  I imagine this is because we come from Southern California where we had very little change in the day to day meteorological happenings.

Bring it!

You just can’t believe your eyes, and yet, every day brings more beauty.  I am fascinated with the cloud formation and color in this silhouette.

Well, so OK,  it isn’t a lot of snow, but we sure were surprised when we got up!

Gone.

By three this afternoon you couldn’t even tell it had been a snow day.  All that was left was in the shadows like this little bit on the mulch pile.

Earlier in the day however…

Buddy eating snow... He thought it was all for fun!

He ran around the whole time.  I never did get a picture of him or Tucker that was not a BLUR!

I was asked if my Golden Hennies laid golden eggs.  Well OK, maybe not golden, but definitely BIG!
