A quick note of thanks

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your kind words and prayer.  Bob’s lungs are clearing and he has been able to sleep soundly and comfortably both Sunday night and tonight.  He is still on all his meds and breathing treatments, but the nonstop coughing has subsided.

Again I say, thank you!

My gosh. I have no idea how I missed your previous post. I think it must have arrived, because I got the Friday Fictioneers post. In any event, I’m so sorry for all the stress and worry, and so glad that Bob’s better. We suddenly had a good dose of pollen the past week, and it’s been nasty enough even for people without other physical issues. I can only imagine what it’s been like for the two of you.

I’m so glad to hear that things are better. I know someone with similar lung issues, and I know how physically wearing and emotionally stressful it can be to cope. Here’s to better days ahead!

I was just reading that your asthma is better! It is so horrible when we can’t breathe. I am glad that both you and Bob are on the mend. ❤

Oh Lynda, I am so glad that Bob has improved, and hopefully, 6 days later, he continues to do better. After reading this post, I went back to read your previous post.
How scary!! Respiratory conditions are some of the most frightening for patients, and for their loved ones. Spring for some people is far too great a challenge.
I hope you are both resting more easily

We are doing very well now, Laurie. We even went out to work in the garden this morning. It has been quite a long time, and we are going to have a vegetable garden again, so help me! 🙂

i read this offline when i got back to the property last week, and today is the first time to be back online…

his pulmonary problems sound so much like what i once suffered with… each november that horrid cough creeped into my life, and with each month it seemed to be worse.. a pulm doc called me his most difficult patient, as nothing helped.. i never smoked, btw…

when i moved to central america, the cough vanished.. it was gone for 12 years, and when it came back it was horrid for a month… then ok again for a few years.

cold weather seems to be the trigger for me, and there’s a ‘cough-variant’ asthma – i think that’s what it is called that isn’t like normal asthma…

anyway, i hope that he’s better, and that he finds the true trigger and also a cure.. getting in a sun-heated car always gave me instant relief.. just to breathe in that hot dry air…

logging off again and will be offline until thursday.

    sending you healing vibes.

    love
    lisa

      Dear Lisa,

Communicating with you is like reading old letters. I have been thinking a lot about letter writing lately. In times past we wrote to family and dear friends and had to wait weeks or months for the letter to find it’s recipient and then for the person to reply and send their response in the mail. Things could change a lot in that time.

Thankfully, our dialogue is not quite so lengthy, but it is long enough for events to change, and the good news is Bob’s so much better! I think it would not have been so bad on him if he would have gone to the Dr. sooner, but he is stubborn about these things…

Bob, “I’m OK, I don’t need the Dr., Woopsie!!! I’m really suffering I think I need the Dr. NOW” I love him but sometimes he scares me a bit. 😉

About asthma, I know the kind of which you speak. I’ve had several bouts with it in the past and recall a few episodes where students and faculty members could only stare at me with eyes bugged out. I also suffered this pollen season! I haven’t decided if the pollen count is just really bad this year or if we suffered so bad just because we are getting older. Both? Whatever the cause we need to remember for next spring. Forewarned is forearmed as they say.

Thank you for caring so much.

      Love,
      Lynda
