You may not like my view. . .

But by this time we are so far down the rabbit hole I’m past caring and sincerely worried about why some of you don’t seem to care, and if you do, why you don’t stand up and say so!

Take the blinders off and start looking and listening to what is happening to every country in our world.  It is insanity and the sheeple are going to let it happen.

Please give eleven minutes of your time to hear an outline of what is really going on in our world.

BTW, if you think it doesn’t apply to your country, then you didn’t make it past minute four.

OK, thinkers, haters, anyone ???

START TALKING!

WE NEED TO SAY IT OUT LOUD

You want opinions and mine is that I have no time for Neil Oliver at all. There are many very bad things happening in our country but he has no solution for any of them.

Tom, thank you for sharing your point of view. I appreciate it and your willingness to speak your mind.

From my POV, I never saw him as “solutions man”, but more of a “get it out there in the open” reporter of what is really going on in our world. I feel if we start talking about “it” in whatever form “it” is defined in the public, then we may come to our own conclusions and actually come up with solutions. We need to be able to actually talk and have differing opinions without being “cancelled online, or snubbed by our friends.” I gather from his posts, that he talks about the things that no one will talk about in public; or at least not in my country. The stuff that is happening the world wide is NEVER mentioned in the Mainstream Media here in the US. If you listened to ABC, NBC, MSNBC or CNN, it’s always; “Nothing to see here, just move along.” It is scary how the media are all in lockstep, night after night, telling us the same thing on every station. Oh, and our president who is suffering from profound age dementia is “just fine”. If you don’t agree, then you are labelled a MAGA NAZI and far right extremist.

Whatever happened to real reporters and journalists of the world’s news and events? I’m tired of slanted, sanitized newspeak that comes right out and tells you: “We sift through all the news each day, so you don’t have to, and then tell you what you need to know.”

There are many bad things happening world wide, and the fact that so many of these disastrous mandates are exactly in lockstep in each of these countries is enough to give you nightmares. Sri Lanka is broken, Canada and the Netherlands will be soon, and the push is on to do the same here. We are falling apart at the seams. Maybe it’s different in your country, but if I want to know what’s really happening here in the US, I have to go to Neil Oliver on GBN, Sky News in Australia, and/or WION from India to hear it spoken out loud.

Your, rebuttals on any or all of the above are very welcome.

        • Lynda says:

Tom, your country must be freer with speech than we are allowed to be here. I’m not meaning to be dense, but I am confused about your second statement.
What I see here (US) is a public that is so afraid of retaliation, in any form, that they will not talk about what is going on. We have a left and a right side of thought in our country. On the left are a lot of very vocal thought police and on the right are what our President has identified as “semi-Facists”. This is the second time he has made a blanket statement about Republicans as Maga crazies, and now he’s identified us as “semi-Facists”. “I do not think that word means what [Biden] thinks it means.”

We’ve drastically reduced our police force in most major cities. Women, Orientals, and the elderly are being attacked on the street, and in their cars or the halls of their apartment buildings.Criminals are brought in and sent out a revolving door to go out and do it again. Children (10 yr olds) who commit crimes with a gun are sent back out on the street with a slap on the wrist, because the local powers that be (in Seattle, WA) don’t want to traumatize them with prosecution and incarceration. Drugs, children who are being sold into prostitution, and major criminals are flooding our border. Or should I say “What border?” No other country in the world allows the insanity that is happening at our border, and yet here we are. I’m skimming off the top of the past week’s news and it goes deeper than that. Few feel safe in the inner cities here. The rest of us who are paying attention are not feeling safe or secure about anything. I’m not rich, I’m not privileged, nor powerful, I am an underdog and I feel like barking.

Again, Tom, thank you for your POV and for being my sounding board for what I want to get off of my chest. I hope others will join in, but apparently they are too afraid to speak their mind.

You and I are on the same page. We’ve been following this for a long time now. I think “the swamp” seems like too nice of a phrase at this point. The world events happening right now were revealed to us long ago. Anyone not familiar with scripture from the Bible – most notably the book of Revelation and also Hebrews, probably has no idea where we are headed. It’s happening.

  3. Lynda says:

Lori, we are in fact. And I agree, that those with no scriptural foundation will be left wondering about a lot of things. . . and ultimately lost. We have heard the argument that it has taken so long for the Biblical prophecy to begin, that it has to be false. Nope, the changes taking place now are a tsunami in our time. All prophecy will be fulfilled, but not all who are here on earth will see the signs or understand the true ramifications of them until all is fulfilled. I believe, but I never imagined that once it began, the signs and world events would take place this fast… and this is nothing compared to what will follow. Another reason for talking out loud about what’s going on.

Neil Oliver is known in the UK for presenting a TV programme for the BBC called Coast. I would have liked him to have developed his argument beyond Wake Up and see what’s happening. Don’t tell us the problem, tell us the solution.

  5. Lynda says:

Hi NanaCathy, I only know Mr.Oliver from the GBI opinion pieces he produces. But, based on you comment I went looking for him and his show “Coast”. Seems he is an historian as well.

I think my point in choosing his message was to shake people up. To make us think about the problem and come firstly to the awareness of the problem itself. When I was young, the news was all about finding the facts. Reporters went out and researched, dug into events, met people, took statements, pictures and fact checked their evidence. Then there were the commentators who gave their opinions, letting us know it was their opinion, about what was happening. We don’t see those anymore. In today’s news we are told the same exact information on every news channel buy people who have been given a prompter with “what we are to know” about any situation. All “reporters” give you the same sanitized stories, word for word. There are still a few opinionators (I made that word up) but they still only give opinion on the sanitized view they want us to know. Only the party view is allowed to be spoken publicly.

I don’t know how your news programs report to the public each day in the UK, but here the mainstream media are very far left and much of what is important world shaking news is not reported. HA! I was going quote to you the byline from a news station in Los Angeles, CA, but when I went to search for it, well, it seems to be the standard byline of all news purveyors: “We sift through the days events, so you don’t have to, and tell you what you need to know.”

Again, my purpose in sharing was to open the eyes of those who only get one flavor of news. To perhaps let them glimpse a view of the grander scheme of things. Personally, I want to know what is going on in the world so I, ultimately we, can be fully informed, and then, based on better knowledge, we come up with our own solutions.

NanaCathy, thank you for your POV and for being my sounding board for what I want to get off of my chest. Please continue your thoughts if you wish to. I would enjoy hearing more of what you think.

Thanks for such a good discussion. Most people like their news in two second sound bites which is why they like their news pre sifted. I find the BBC World service on the radio is much better for longer considered news. I’m not a great believer in conspiracy theories as I don’t accept that top dogs get together and agree a pre thought out plan. What I do think is that survival of the fittest manifests itself in grabbing things rather than sharing things out equitably. My uni studies suggested that even when a person from a poorer background becomes educated/ wealthy/ privileged they rapidly absorb the way of life they have achieved. So for example top sports people or actresses will marry into wealth and privilege and very soon you can’t tell the difference. Thinking Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Sorry, Gill! I had knee surgery on the 3rd, and had been out of commission since before that Couldn’t/can’t sit in a chair for longer than 3 to 5 minutes. I will write today. ❤ ❤ ❤
